ABOUT THE THREE GOALS OF WIR AUSLANDSCHWEIZER.CH

WirAuslandschweizer.ch (We Swiss Abroad) is the web meeting place of Swiss abroad and descendants of Swiss emigrants from all around the world on which they share their questions, experiences & thoughts.

WirAuslandschweizer.ch provides a directory where web sites of Swiss abroad and descendants of Swiss emigrants, societies, schools, businesses of Swiss entrepreneurs, etc. are accessible easily, to avoid time consuming search processes.

WirAuslandschweizer.ch reflects the versatlity of the Swiss community around the world.

ABOUT YOU - THE SWISS ABROAD

You - and approximately 670'000 Swiss Nationals live far away from the alps (see overview) and form the "5th Switzerland" as the Swiss abroad community is commonly referred to. "3rd Canton" after Zurich and Berne would be appropriate too considering the number of "inhabitants". The number of descendants of Swiss emigrants is not known but more than one million people are still aware of their Swiss roots in the USA alone.

If you emigrated, you have adjusted to local way of life in your country of residence and if you were born there - which applies to many of you - you keep your Swiss heritage in heart and mind.

Professionally you adhere to Swiss qualities, in societies & clubs you cherish your Swiss heritage and personally you develop creativity in hobbies that often have Swiss roots.
